De NEa heeft als voorzorgsmaatregel de toegang tot het Register CO2 Emissiehandel tijdelijk opgeschort vanwege pogingen onrechtmatig toegang te verkrijgen tot rekeningen in het register.

Deze zogenaamde 'phishing attempt' is uitgezet in de meeste Europese landen. Een aantal rekeningbevoegden heeft een e-mail ontvangen met onderwerp 'Emission Trading System (EU ETS) - New Security Maatregel' met als doel onrechtmatig gebruikersgegevens te bemachtigen. De NEa publiceerde hier al eerder een waarschuwing over.
Alle rekeningbevoegden zijn door de NEa op de hoogte gesteld. Zodra passende maatregelen zijn genomen, wordt de toegang tot het register weer opengesteld. De Helpdesk NEa zal vandaag de hele dag bereikbaar zijn voor vragen.

Registry offline as a precautionary measure
The Dutch CO2 Trading Registry is currently temporarily offline as a precautionary measure following a suspicious email that was sent to Account Representatives. This email has the subject 'Emission Trading System (EU ETS) - New Security Measure' and contains a malicious attempt to get unauthorized access accounts in the Dutch registry by trying to obtain usernames and passwords. The NEa has published a warning about this some weeks ago.
All the account representatives are notified by the NEa. Once the Dutch Emissions Authority has taken precautionary measures the access to the registry will be unsuspended. The Helpdesk NEa will be opened today until 18:00h CET to answer any questions that you might have.
